NEW Festival Changes: Vashon Events is once again charged with making some cool changes to the music production at Strawberry Festival this year. In years past, it has been fun to give every local musician and band who applied the opportunity to perform. But the result has been that the time slots have gradually become shorter overall. This has put a strain on our sound engineers who have to constantly change over bands throughout the day as quickly as they can. Audience feedback has been that there has been a disproportionate number of beginning bands presented, which has negatively impacted the audience experience.
Like last year, we will have longer time slots and one less stage, which will mean that there will be less performance opportunities overall. Not everyone who applies will be able to perform. If you apply for the festival this year and don't get in, please know that we still love you. You are our friends and we very much want to support your musical development. We continue to work to find other opportunities for beginning musicians/bands to perform so that they can improve. Also, with so many bands using the same musicians, we may not be able to schedule you as we have been able to do in the past as a result of these changes.
Thank you so much for applying and supporting these changes to improve the overall quality of festival.
Please upload two band/musician photographs in png or jpg format. Please upload a PDF of your stage plot. This site will allow you to create and save a PDF of your stage plot to your computer. You can then upload it to this application.
