Why do we require a questionnaire? This is standard practice in the conformation and performance world and we have had great success with it. It is an excellent way of getting the data from would be clients and making sure that their needs and desires are in line with what we produce prior to any agreements being made.
Additionally, it provides us with basic data to assist in providing a full service experience that our clients come to expect in filling out paperwork, contracts, and personalizing recommendations.
We realize this form is rather lengthy but we have used it for many years to match people with their ideal pup. Be honest in your needs and desires and we will be able to more accurately help you in your search!
Please remember only fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required fields but the more you fill out the more we can assist.
This section is your chance to outline your ideal dog. We are asking several questions to help us make sure that what you're wanting is something we produce, something that is in our breeding plans, and so on. If we do not specifically work with what you're wanting, then we are happy to refer to those that do.
Please note, we choose the puppy for you in the litter based on your comments below. We have found this to be the best way to match puppies with homes and have had outstanding success with this. When people meet puppies for the first time, they ALWAYS fall for the first one that comes up to them thinking it is "choosing" them when in fact, that's the most confident, outgoing, and strong willed puppy in the litter which makes them a tough customer to work in most types of homes. Our crew works with the puppies many times a day and we track the development of each individual so we know their temperaments very well by the time we're matching with homes (normally 5-7 weeks of age). In the event that there are two that could match your situation, you will be given the choice with information provided to allow you to make the informed choice.
If you are interested in a performance, service, hunting, etc prospect, PLEASE let us know at this early point so we can contact you for your training experiences and preferences to match up what you're looking for. Not all of our litters are bred for all types of tasks and some of our lines excel at higher level events than others but can make them more difficult to live with for a novice or average trainer. We want you to be successful in your ventures as well!

We are professional trainers and veterinarians that have decades of experiences in training, breeding, and caring for dogs in the working and performance arenas. Naturally we have them as companions too. Our goals are to produce structurally sound and hard working dogs that have excellent temperaments for work and play. We health test all of our breeding stock as well as train and/or show them to test their abilities against the national standards.
Our puppy programs start before birth and continue until you pick up your puppy. We work primarily with ENS and Puppy Culture guidelines to work with the puppies. Our years of training and working with these lines help us know which puppy will do best in which type of home. The dams (mothers) receive the best pre-natal care and are seen by our staff veterinarian for regular checkups and other needs as required.
Your puppy will be dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age and vaccinated at 5 and 7 weeks of age. They are microchipped, AKC/ASCA (Aussies only)/UKC registered/registerable (UKC), and have been examined multiple times by a board certified veterinarian while in our care. If the breed requires docking and/or dewclaw removal, we have that done by a veterinarian as well.
We send home a puppy packet and pre-register the puppies with AKC for you. There are weekly/biweekly updates and pictures sent to families/homes with deposits on them. More and more puppy parent support information is added to the website regularly.
Our goal is a true team approach for your family, us, and your pup so we are always here for you and love updates! No matter if you have questions about potty training, celebrating a new achievement, or need a trainer/professional reference for your area, we are here for you and your pup.
Many of our clients chose to continue on with the basic training either from 8 weeks of age and on, or at a later point in time. If you'd like more information about our board and train, just let us know!
Are you interested in using the specific dog for breeding? If so, please be aware this is a $4000+ cost depending on the dog. We prefer to place dogs in high quality companion homes whenever possible.
