Registering with HalterPass does not constitute an approval for any specific horse or organization. Your HalterPass generated report serves as a third-party application process. The right to approve or deny you as a buyer or adopter is retained by each individual seller or organization.
Please complete the following information so that we can process your HalterPass registration. We will not share any of your information or contact any of your references without your consent.
Below is a list that includes some of the information you will need in order to complete your HalterPass registration. You can save your progress at any time and come back to finish later, so don't worry if you're missing something right now.
Information about the facility where the horse will live including pictures and details such as acreage, number of horses, stall/run-in shelter dimensions, fencing, turnout, feed, and daily routine
Veterinarian's phone number and email address (if available)
Farrier’s phone number and email address (if available)
The phone number and email addresses for two references who are not related to you - at least one must be able to speak to your experience and abilities with horses
If you have any questions along the way, please email us at hello@halterpass.com or give us a call at 1-866-HALTER-0
This is not a mandatory section, but sharing this information helps current owners feel even more confident they are matching you with the right horse. It's easy to have a picture in your head of what kind of horse you're hoping to find, but when you write it down it helps keep you accountable and focused.
Even more important, it helps prevent you from ever looking at the horses you might think you will be able to talk yourself into purchasing despite the fact that they are an unrealistic match. If you have clear search criteria, it will narrow the scope of your search so that you are only looking at horses that are truly suitable prospects and prevent you from wasting your (and sellers') time.
A picture is worth a thousand words, right? They also help give a seller extra peace of mind and confidence about a horse's new home, so be sure to add a few.
NOTE: You can upload more than one picture for each type. Either add them one at a time, or upload them all together by holding down "Ctrl" while selecting your pictures.
This should be someone you would consider a "phone a friend" when you have a question about your horse. It could be a trainer, instructor, or just a good friend who knows a lot about horses.
This can be anyone other than a family member who can speak to your personal character. It could be someone with horse knowledge, or perhaps it is a colleague who knows about your work ethic and commitment to your responsibilities.
I give permission to HalterPass and its representatives to contact any persons or organizations listed in this HalterPass registration form for the purpose of obtaining reference information. These persons are aware that a HalterPass representative will contact them and have my permission to discuss information regarding my experience with horses.
