The Butte County Library subscribes to the Chico Enterprise-Record, the Oroville Mercury-Register, the Paradise Post, the Gridley Herald, and the Chico News & Review. Print copies of newspapers are kept for 6 months, after which they can be viewed on microfilm. Butte County Library also maintains microfilm collections of historic Butte County Newspapers back to 1854. Microfilm is available through interlibrary loan please contact your local public library if you wish to borrow an entire reel. You may also request a search of the microfilm directly from Butte County Library, in which case a photocopy of a specific article will be mailed to you.
