Under Section 79 of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 (WA):
‘Where it is proved that the worker has, at the time of seeking or entering employment in respect of which he claims compensation for an injury, willfully and falsely represented himself as not having previously suffered from the injury an arbitrator may in the arbitrator’s discretion refuse to award compensation which may otherwise be payable.’
Your employment will be conditional on providing a National Police Check (dated within the past 30 days). In addition, a Working with Children Check may also be required depending on the position which you’ve applied for and whether it is relevant to the type of work you will be required to undertake.
Note: Workpower is an Equal Opportunity employer. A conviction on your National Police Check is not a barrier to the consideration of an application for employment. Applicants who have any concerns regarding this requirement are invited to discuss its relevance or otherwise to their prospects for employment with the Manager Human Resources.
