There will be one Master Judges to represent each division: Apprentice Division Master Judge and Journeyman Team Master Judge. The duty of a Master Judge is to be the authority on the day of the rodeo to resolve situations involving their assigned divisions. They are to assist the Chief Judge, for each event, in resolving disputes and protests in any situation the Chief Judge is unable to resolve. They are to be available to their Chief Judges to consult with on procedures and help locate any items that may be needed for each Chief Judges event. Master Judges are also responsible for the flow of their assigned divisions and shall assist with re-routing teams in the event of a back-up. Know what to do in case of illness or injury. (First Aid, fire rescue, ambulance, etc…)
A Chief Judge is to be the authority on the day of the rodeo to resolve situations and protests at their event that the judges are unable to resolve. They are to be available to their Judges to consult with on procedures and help locate any items that may be needed for each Judges event. The Chief Judges are responsible for keeping the event moving, tracking the teams/apprentices entering and leaving the event, and getting teams/apprentices properly staged and informed prior to entering the event. They will also fill in for judges should a judge need a restroom break or act as a judge in the event of a back-up at their event. Sign team or apprentice score sheets at the exit, when they have completed the event. They will also ensure that their event site is cleaned and organized at the completion of the day. Know what to do in case of illness or injury. (First Aid, fire rescue, ambulance, etc…)
A Judge is to be the authority in conducting the event competition for each individual team or apprentice. The Judge will not be allowed to judge a team/apprentice from their cooperative. They will escort the team or apprentice to the event structure and allow five (5) minutes for questions and set up. The Judge will start time and observe the team or apprentice during the event for infractions and stops time at the completion of the event. The Judge enters the individual deductions on the provided score sheet along with the completion time and informs the Team/Apprentice of their score for that event. The Judge will sign his name on the score sheet and give to the Chief Judge at the designated event exit.
