CIT's are not expected to have their Standard First Aid/CPR.

Senior Teen’s Camp August 16-21
CIT's are eligible to have half or even your entire week of Senior Teens covered for volunteering during the summer.
*More Infomation regarding the camp schedule will be discussed at the time of interview.
We want to get to know you a little bit more. You can answer the questions in point form. Go with what you know and be yourself!
1. Campers are your top priority.
a.You will be paired up with a counsellor that will mentor you as you help take care of campers. Even though you will be a friend to your campers, you must still take charge and be responsible. Parents are trusting and counting on you and the counsellor.
b. Camp makes heavy demands on you. Your desires must take second place to those of your campers. Our job is to ensure the best possible experience, for campers.
2. You need to take care of yourself.
c. Make good use of your time off to reflect and be sure to come back rested. Take time to pray, journal, etc. Everyone is different and is rejuvenated in different ways, do what works for you!
b. Being a CIT is demanding; you are on duty 24 hours/day. Be aware of your attitude and how you are feeling, and ask for help when you need it - campers can tell when you’re frustrated!
3. Always support your Counsellor, Camp Coordinator and the rest of the camp staff.
You are part of a team. Don't let frustrations simmer. Deal with conflict immediately so it will not affect the rest of the staff or the campers.
4. You are an ambassador for Mennonite Church Saskatchewan.
a. Conduct yourself in such a way that you will be a positive role model.
b. Use language that is uplifting and positive.
c. Be sensitive to the attitudes of the surrounding and supporting community.
d. Shekinah is smoke, drug, and alcohol free. It is expected that while on camp property, or while having campers in your care, or while performing camp business, or while being associated with MC Sask/Shekinah, that you WILL NOT smoke, drink, or take an illegal substance.
e. You are representing MC Sask/Shekinah when you are both on and off-site. Remember who you are, and how you are showing others who you are through your actions and decisions.
