APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP
Please complete the entire application to give the SIBF Leadership Academy Selection Committee a thorough understanding of your abilities, accomplishments and commitment. All questions should be answered fully and thoughtfully. Application materials submitted by, or on behalf of, an applicant, will be kept strictly confidential. Member biographical profiles and photos, based on information from the application, will be included in the SIBF Membership Directory and on the private member site.
Academy Program Fee – Your fee includes Academy tuition, initiation fee for SIBF membership, all program materials, lodging, most meals, and program activities. (It does not include transportation to the program site). Payment by check or wire transfer only.
To be considered for the SIBF Leadership Academy, a completed application and the following must be submitted before October 10, 2019:

Please note that your application does not have to be completed in a single session and can be saved to complete at a later time.
Please review your application carefully before submitting. All required fields must be completed before your form will be processed.
Applications for the SIBF Leadership Academy will be reviewed by the Academy Selection Committee before being submitted to the SIBF Membership Committee for final approval. A member of the Selection Committee will notify you upon approval.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Three letters of recommendation from individuals having direct knowledge of your qualifications for, and commitment to, participating in the SIBF Leadership Academy are required. These letters should describe the nature and length of the relationship with you and, to the extent possible, address your character and accomplishments.
o One letter should be from an SIBF member (your sponsor)
o One letter should be from a direct supervisor (if applicable)
o One letter should come from a business contact (vendor, client, etc.)
Please list below the name and telephone number of each person providing your letters of recommendation. These letters should be addressed to the Academy Selection Committee and either submitted with your application or emailed directly to SIBF at firstname.lastname@example.org by the individuals providing your letters of recommendation. You are responsible for receipt of these letters by SIBF. Applications without letters of recommendation will not be considered.

If accepted as a participant in the SIBF Leadership Academy and member of the Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF), I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking such participation in events and programs as my own free and intentional act, and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my participation. I give this acknowledgement freely and knowingly and, as a result, I am able to participate in SIBF events and programs and do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being.
Upon acceptance, unless otherwise stated in writing, SIBF may reproduce my name, company name, contact information and photo or likeness in the SIBF Membership Directory, including a directory on SIBF’s private member website. At SIBF’s discretion, my photo or likeness may be reproduced in member newsletters and other communications during the term of my membership.
CERTIFICATION & FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
I understand that participation in the SIBF Leadership Academy requires my active participation and commitment and that attendance in both sessions of the Academy are required. I certify that all statements made in this application are true, complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief and made in good faith. I understand that items contained herein may be independently verified. I accept these terms as a condition of my acceptance into the program.
I understand the Academy Program Fee of $8,500 is due upon my acceptance.
